Desi Twitter Is Busting State Stereotypes As ‘You Don’t Look Like It’ Trends

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

From Disaster To Masterclass: Twitter Is Hailing Tewatia’s Incredible Innings Against KXIP

The Indian Premier League always promises a thriller or the other in the cards. Last night’s match against Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab was nothing short of that. Thanks to the Rajasthan all-rounder Rahul Tewatia’s stormy batting stint towards the end of the game.

The 28-year-old player was trolled mercilessly in the first innings when Kings XI Punjab reached a mammoth total above 200 runs with Mayank Agarwal hitting a quick century. However, they were silenced in the second innings when Tewatia stepped onto the crease to bat.

At first, he struggled to get the ball on the bat considering he just had 8 runs in 19 balls. By then, it was slowly becoming evident that Punjab might take the game away despite Sanju Samson and Steve Smith’s stellar performances. However, when Sheldon Cottrell came about to bowl, tables were turned when Tewatia hit the balls for five sixes in that over! With around 30 runs in that over, Rajasthan easily cruised towards victory and completing the highest ever run chase in the tournament’s history.

Dalit politics at a crossroads

In the 1990s, when Hindutva forces launched the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Kanshi Ram, the founder of the Dalit-Bahujan movement and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), invoked subaltern myths and icons to counter it. Kanshi Ram gathered Dalit icons from oral and folk narratives and reinvented minor characters of the Ramayana and Mahabharata in the process of developing a counter-Hindutva narrative. The icons he invoked included Shambuka, Eklavya, Uda Devi, Jhalkaribai, and Rabidas. This helped mobilise the Bahujans in Uttar Pradesh and resulted in a BSP-led government in U.P. four times. The myths and icons of the Dalits questioned and ruptured the dominance of one narrative.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Joining in as an advisor on in GRTPS’s advisory board, Col Vaidya would be closely working in the development of the proposed Robotics tech park, specifically overlooking the defence related fields of robotic technology.

On his nomination in the ‘Advisory Board’ of GNRTP, Col Vaidya expressed his thoughts on how there is a huge potential in the field of Robotics and A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) Technology which could be resourcefully deployed in the Indian Defence Organizations. He further stressed on the requirement of creating a holistic environment for research and development, which would further ignite young minds to actively innovate and create better solutions for tomorrow.

Col Vaidya has commended on this platform and said, “Working for the development of Defence Robotics at GNRTP is a creative and constructive opportunity. I hope, as a team we shall be utilizing this opportunity for developing the very first ecosystems of Defence Robotics in Uttar Pradesh. This will prove to be strengthening the defence automation fields, minimising human casualties and assisting the forces to their advantage in tactical operational fronts.”
