An 8-year-old girl has made it to the ‘India Book of Records for being awarded 145 certificates for participating in various online and offline competitions. Trapa Choudhury from Guwahati was awarded certificates for taking part in various state, national and international level competitions.
She has been bringing laurels to her family since she was 4 years old. Trapa is the daughter of Dr. Manoshi Das, Anthropologist, and Dr. Jayanta Choudhury, Associate Professor, NIRDPR-NERC, Guwahati.
Between 2017 and 2021, the child prodigy participated in Drawing and Painting, Craft Making, Poem Writing, Story, Abacus, Chess, Dancing, Singing, Recitation, Olympiads, as well as a Fashion Show, all in different languages.
She can speak, read and write in 5 different languages, namely, Bengali, Hindi, English, Assamese, and Sanskrit. The whizz-kid has taken up an interest in various forms of art and cultural creation.
She was also designated a “Global Child Peace Ambassador” by Global Peace Let’s Talk (a London, UK-based international NGO) in order to promote peace among children throughout the world, and she was chosen to participate in the Global Peace Institute’s online Global Kids Peace Builder Workshop.
She was recently named ‘Child Ambassador of SDG’ by the Vasundhara Blessing Foundation in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in addition to her other accomplishments.
