JP Nadda arrived in Kolkata on two-day tour, TMC showed black flag, said- GO BACK
BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in Kolkata on December 9 on a two-day tour for the assembly elections. He inaugurated the party’s nine offices in various districts of the state including the BJP’s Electoral Office in Kolkata and addressed the workers, saying that the party is the family for the BJP. He further said that I would like to recall today what Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had said about discipline and tolerance, which is very relevant in the current situation in Bengal. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is another name for intolerance. Nadda blamed the Trinamool government for appeasement and said that the way the poet-guru Ravindra Nath Tagore gave his vision to the country, everyone knows, but today intolerance is increasing in Bengal when the entire country is going to Ram temple in Ayodhya. Mamta Banerjee had imposed a lockdown in Bengal on August 5, while watching Bhoomi Pujan. So that people at the local level can be prevented from attending on this occasion. In sharp contrast, the lockdown was lifted on July 31 on the occasion of Bak-rid. This shows that the policies of the state government are inspired by the politics of appeasement. Stating the BJP’s rise, Nadda claimed that the BJP would win more than 200 seats in the upcoming Bengal elections. He said that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, our seats were reduced to 2 and our vote reached 18 percent. In 2019, our seats were 18 and our vote reached 40 percent. The BJP will win more than 200 seats in the 2021 election. After addressing the workers, in the afternoon of December 9, JP Nadda also participated in the BJP’s door-to-door campaign in the Kalighat area of Kolkata and went to seven houses in a backward settlement to talk to people and distribute leaflets. In the evening, Nadda had a meeting in which National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and Vice President Mukul Roy were also involved. On December 10, JP Nadda will visit fishermen in South 24 Parganas district to meet fishermen.
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress workers in Kolkata opposed JP Nadda with black flags and ‘Go Back’ slogans.
