TMC leader Anubrata Mandal skips CBI summons in cattle smuggling case
Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal did not appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which had summoned him on Sunday for questioning in connection with a cattle smuggling case in West Bengal.
The TMC leader was also asked to appear before the CBI at 2:30 pm on Sunday in connection with the West Bengal post-poll violence case.
His lawyer wrote to the CBI, saying that since he was released from the hospital on Saturday and he will not be able to appear before the probe agency.
Earlier this month, Mondal was admitted to the SSKM Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata after he complained of breathlessness.
