BJP forms fact-finding committee to look into Hanskhali rape case

On Wednesday BJP president J P Nadda formed a five-member fact-finding committee of the party to look into the Hanskhali rape case. The committee will visit the site of the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl in Nadia in West Bengal to enquire into the incident.

The party said the members of the fact-finding committee are the party’s vice president and MP Rekha Verma, Uttar Pradesh government minister Baby Rani Maurya, Tamil Nadu MLA and BJP’s National President Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan, Kushbu Sunder, and West Bengal MLA Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury.

The son of a Trinamool Congress gram panchayat member was arrested for the alleged rape of a minor that led to her death. The incident took place in Hanskhali of Nadia. Allegedly, the minor girl was raped by the son of a TMC leader.

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday granted permission to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the Hanskhali rape case.

Bengal Governor Dhankhar Summons Chief Secretary And DGP Over Hanskhali Rape Case & Ram Navami clashes

Concerned over the current law and order situation in West Bengal, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar summoned Chief Secretary and State Police DG to Raj Bhavan. On Tuesday, Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankhar summoned the Chief Secretary and State Police DG of the state to brief him on the alleged gang rape of the 14-year-old girl in Nadia and also on the alleged atrocities on Ram Bhakts during Ram Navami processions.

“Urgent response of Chief Secretary be sought on alleged gangrape death of 14-year-old girl in Nadia as also atrocities on Ram Bhakats on Ram Navami. Both these issues have been raised today by Leader of Opposition Shri Suvendu Adhikari who called on the undersigned and sought thorough probe. According to LOP both incidents highlight worrisome state of crime against women & nose diving law & order scenario in the state. CS be called upon to render his report on both counts earliest, latest by April 13, 2022,” said Governor on Tuesday.

The two administrative officials have been asked to brief Governor by 4 pm on Wednesday.

“In view of this, both Chief Secretary and the DGP be called upon to brief the undersigned on these incidents, as already indicated, latest by 4 P.M. on April 13, 2022,” Governor added.

Terror in Kerala’s Kondotty- 15-year-old boy drags and attacks woman to farm for resisting rape.

A 15-year-old boy has been detained by the police, for stalking a 23-year-old woman after he stalked her and dragged her to a farm allegedly trying to rape.
According to the report, when the woman resisted him, he attacked her with a stone and than tied her hands using her overcoat. The woman however managed to free herself from his grip and ran straight to a nearby house. The woman in the house immediately raised an alarm, after which, Ummer Farook, Kottukkara ward councillor of Kondotty municipality reached the spot.
The accused was identified from the description provided by the victim and confrimed throught a CCTV. The accused is a Class 10 student and a state-level judo champion. The accused was detained and there he confessed his crime. He will be produced before the juvenile justice board.

The incident took place late on Monday night at Kottukkara junction, when the woman was walking from her house towards the computer centre in Kondotty where she studies.
The boy stalked her and later grabbed her from behind, dragging her to the farm. The girl was hit by a stone when she tried to resist.

“The girl’s face was swollen. The attacker had ripped her dress. We gave the injured woman first aid and shifted her to Kondotty Taluk Hospital and later to Manjeri Medical College Hospital,” as per statement.
Describing the usual routine of the women, the Kottukkara ward councillor said, the woman regularly took a bus from the junction to reach the computer centre, which is at a distance of 1km from her house.

Malappuram district police chief Sujith Das said the accused had marks on his hand, neck and lips, as she resisted the rape bid.

He also said, “The boy had sustained some cut marks on his hand, neck and lip from the woman’s nails as she resisted the rape. He told his parents that he had sustained the marks after he fell down while trying to escape from a chasing dog. However, during detailed questioning, he confessed that he had committed the crime”.

Two Afghanistan Journalist allegedly detained and severely beaten for covering Women Protests in Kabul, Human Rights watch said

On Tuesday, Taqi Daryabi and Nemat Naqdi of the Kabul-based media outlet Etilaat-e Roz were allegedly detained and attacked by the Taliban Security Forces. The reporters were covering women’s protests in Kabul who were demanding an end to Taliban violations of women’s and girls’ rights.
Taliban authorities allegedly brought the two guys to a police station in Kabul, separated them into different cells, and severely beaten them with cables, according to Etilaat-e Roz. Both guys were discharged on September 8 after receiving treatment for injuries to their backs and faces at a hospital.
Zaki Daryabi, editor-in-chief of Etilaat-e Roz, said: “Two of my colleagues from who were detained by Taliban, beaten for four hours.” He added: “Under constant and brutal torture of the Taliban, the reporters lost their consciousness four times,” the Sky News reported.
According to Human Rights Watch, Taliban officials detained Wahid Ahmadi, a Tolonews photojournalist, on September 7 and released him the same day. They took his camera and made it impossible for other journalists to cover the protest.
On Saturday, women marched across Kabul for the second day in a row, asking that their liberties be safeguarded under the new Islamist administration. The Taliban have promised to preserve women’s rights according to Islamic law, but supporters fear a reversal after two decades of female employees joining formerly all-male bastions like as the media, court, and politics.
The Taliban on Tuesday announced an interim Cabinet stacked with veterans of their hard-line rule, with no women or former political figures.

फर्जी कोविड टीकाकरण शिविर मामले में दो और लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया

कोलकाता। फर्जी कोविड टीकाकरण शिविर मामले में दो और लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। पुलिस की ओर से मंगलवार को यह जानकारी दी गयी। इन नयी गिरफ्तारियों के साथ, कोलकाता पुलिस इस मामले में अब तक छह लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है जिनमें फर्जी आईएएस अधिकारी देबांजन देब भी शामिल है जो शहर में फर्जी कोविड टीकाकरण शिविर का मास्टरमाइंड है। सोमवार रात की छापेमारी में, नकताला इलाके से देब के रिश्तेदार और शहर के उत्तरी हिस्से से एक और 52 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को पकड़ा गया। देब के रिश्तेदार को शुरु से ही मालूम था कि वह आईएएस अधिकारी नहीं है और इसके बावजूद उसने अवैध गतिविधियों में उसकी मदद करना जारी रखा। दूसरा व्यक्ति तालताला इलाके के एक डॉक्टर के साथ जुड़ा हुआ है और वह शिविरों में आने वाले लोगों को कोविड का फर्जी टीका लगवाने में देब की मदद करता था। कोलकाता नगरपालिका का फर्जी संयुक्त आयुक्त बताने और फर्जी टीकाकरण शिविरों को चलाने के आरोप में पिछले हफ्ते गिरफ्तार किया गया था। उसके तीन सहयोगियों को शनिवार को गिरफ्तार किया गया। पुलिस ने इन सभी के खिलाफ हत्या के प्रयास समेत भारतीय दंड संहिता की अन्य धाराओं के अंतर्गत मामला दर्ज किया है।

फर्जी वैक्सीन कांड की शिकार मिमी चक्रवर्ती हुई बीमार

बांग्ला फिल्म अभिनेत्री व तृणमूल कांग्रेस सांसद मिमी चक्रवर्ती बीमार हो गयी हैं। उनके पेट में दर्द है। मिमी को पहले से ही गॉल ब्लैडर की समस्या थी। डॉक्टर आज सुबह उनके घर आए और उनकी जांच की। मिमी चक्रवर्ती का घर पर इलाज चल रहा है। अभिनेत्री के जनसंपर्क अधिकारी का कहना है कि बीमारी के चलते मिमी चक्रवर्ती के कार्यक्रमों को रद्द कर दिया गया है। वह आज नकली वैक्सीन पर अपनी वर्चुअल प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के बारे में बात करने वाली थी, लेकिन उससे पहले ही बीमार हो गयीं।
दरअसल मिमी चक्रवर्ती कस्बा में नकली वैक्सीन की शिकार हो चुकी हैं। एक्ट्रेस व सांसद ने बीते मंगलवार को कस्बा में आयोजित टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम में जाकर खुद टीका लगवाया था।
मिमी चक्रवर्ती को वहां जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था। मिमी ने उस शिविर में जाते ही टीके की पहली खुराक ली थी। लेकिन मिमी को तब शक हुआ जब वैक्सीन लेने के बाद कोई सर्टिफिकेट नहीं आया। जांच के बाद पता चला कि उस शिविर में जिस किसी को भी टीका लगाया गया था उसके पास प्रमाण पत्र नहीं था। इसके बाद मिमी ने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। जांच के दौरान पुलिस को पता चला कि देबंजन देब नाम के शख्स ने फर्जी आईएएस अफसर और कलकत्ता कॉरपोरेशन के ज्वाइंट कमिश्नर की आड़ में टीकाकरण अभियान चलाया था। पुलिस ने घटना में शामिल व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। पुलिस की ओर कल कहा गया था कि टीका कोरोना का वैक्सीन नहीं था, बल्कि वह एंटीवायोटिक था। इस खबर के बाद हर तरह चर्चा है।

ब्राउन सुगर के साथ पुलिस ने तीन को पकड़ा

सिक्किम। सिक्किम ईस्ट की सिंगताम पुलिस ने लोअर लिंगजे गांव से 22.5 ग्राम ब्राउन सुगर और 4 लाख रूपये की नगद राशि साथ तीन लोगों को गिरफतार किया है। पकड़े गये लोगांे में चक्र बहादुर खड़का, श्रीमती गीता छेत्री व बिरेंद्र रावत हैं।

लाखों रुपये के गांजा के साथ 3 गिरफ्तार

सिलीगुड़ी। एनजेपी थाने की पुलिस दो वाहनों समेत लाखों रुपये के गांजा के साथ 3 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। सिलीगुड़ी मेट्रोपॉलिटन पुलिस के एनजेपी थाने की पुलिस कुछ महीनों में न केवल ड्रग्स बल्कि आग्नेयास्त्रों को भी बरामद करने में कामयाबी हासिल की है। 158 किलो गाजा बरामद करने के बाद 24 घंटे से भी कम समय में एनजेपी थाने की पुलिस ने फिर से करीब 120 किलो गाजा बरामद करके अपने मुस्तैदी का परिचय दिया है, जिसकी अनुमानिक कीमत करीब 15 लाख रूपये है।
पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार कूचबिहार से दो वैगनार वाहन बिहार जाने के उद्देश्य से फूलबाड़ी की ओर जा रहे थे, तभी पुलिस ने गाजा लदे दो वाहनों को जब्त किया। 120 किलो गांजा के साथ गिरफतार चंदन राय, शंभू दास व स्वपन राय को पुलिस रिमांड पर लेगी।

शारदा चिट फण्ड में शिवेंदु अधिकारी ने सीबीआई निर्देशक को लिखा पत्र

टीएमसी के पूर्व नेता शिवेंदु अधिकारी ने शारदा चिट फण्ड मामले को लेकर सीबीआई निदेशक को पत्र लिखा है। पत्र में उन्होने आरोप लगाया कि मामले में चल रही जाँच में हस्तक्षेप की गंभीर आशंका है। हालांकि मामले की जाँच सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर सीबीआई के द्वारा जाँच हो रही है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सुदीप्त सेन एक पत्र में आरोप लगाया था कि नेताओं ने उनसे दो करोड़ रुपये से नौ करोड़ रुपये तक की बड़ी रकम ली। शारदा चिट फण्ड मामले को लेकर सुदीप्त सेन पीएम मोदी और सीएम ममता बनर्जी को भी पत्र लिखते हुए कहा था कि कांग्रेस, माकपा व तृणमूल के नेताओं ने उनसे करोड़ों रुपये लिए हैं। अपने पत्र में सेन ने आरोप लगाया कि नेताओं ने उनसे दो करोड़ रुपये से नौ करोड़ रुपये तक की बड़ी रकम ली। शिवेंदु अधिकार ने उनसे छह करोड़ रुपये लिए हैं, प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अधीर रंजन चौधरी पर छह करोड़ और माकपा विधायक सुजन चक्रवर्ती ने नौ करोड़ रुपये लिया था। पत्र में उन्होंने सीबीआई से जांच करने और राज्य पुलिस से कार्यवाई करने का अनुरोध किया था।

सिलिगुड़ी हिंसा मामले मे बीजेपी के कैलाश विजयवर्गीय, तेजस्वी सूर्या समेत कई नेताओं के खिलाफ हुआ FIR दर्ज

पश्चिम बंगाल के सिलिगुड़ी में दिसंबर 7 को बीजेपी के द्वारा निकली गई  विरोध प्रदर्शन मार्च दौरान हुई हिंसा के मामले में दिसंबर 9 को बीजेपी के वरिष्ठ नेता कैलाश विजयवर्गी, युवा मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष तेजस्वी सूर्या, दिलीप घोष समेत बीजेपी के कई नेताओं के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज किया गया। सिलिगुड़ी मेट्रोपोलिटन पुलिस के न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी पुलिस स्टेशन में बीजेपी नेताओं पर ‘उत्तर-कन्या अभियान’ के दौरान हिंसा उकसाने के आरोप केस दर्ज किया। पुलिस ने बीजेपी कार्यकर्ताओं पर हिंसा करने, कानून-व्यवस्था को तोड़ने, पुलिस के साथ झड़प करने और सरकारी संपत्तियों को नुकसान पहुंचाने का आरोप लगते हुए केस दर्ज किया। 7 दिसंबर को हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन में पुलिस और कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच झड़प हो गयी और हिंसा दौरान कार्यकर्ता उलेन रॉय की मौत भी गयी। पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक उलेन रॉय की मौत शॉट-गन के छर्रों  से हुई थी। पर पुलिस दावा करती है कि शॉट-गन का प्रयोग नहीं हुआ है ,भीड़ को भागने के लिए उसने सिर्फ वाटर कैनन और आंसू गैस के गोलों पर प्रयोग गया  किया था। साथ ही साथ पुलिस ने आरोप लगाया है कि भीड़ में हथियार से लैस लोग थे और उन्होंने फायर किया।  बीजेपी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने टीएमसी पर हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि यह पुलिस की नादिरशाही (क्रूरता) और ममता बनर्जी सरकार की अराजकता है. पुलिस और टीएमसी के गुंडों के बीच सांठगांठ है. पुलिस आँसू गैस का इस्तेमाल कर रही थी और गुंडे देशी बम फोड़ रहे थे।
