Ahead of PM Modi-Morrison Virtual Summit Australia Hands Over 29 Antiquities to India

Ahead of a virtual meeting between PM Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, twenty-nine antiquities were repatriated to India by Australia on Monday.

PM Narendra Modi inspected the twenty-nine antiquities which have been repatriated to India by Australia.

The antiquities range in six broad categories as per themes: Shiva and his disciples, Worshipping Shakti, Lord Vishnu & his forms, Jain tradition, portraits & decorative objects. These antiquities come from different time periods, with earlier ones dating to the 9-10 century CE.

The antiquities that are repatriated to India by Australia represent a large geographical region in India. The antiquities are from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal.
