Hanskhali rape case: BJP’s Khushbu Sundar demands Mamata Banerjee’s apology
A five-member fact-finding committee formed by BJP president J P Nadda to look into the Hanskhali rape case today met the victim’s family. The committee will hand over the report written by them on Saturday to J P Nadda.
Meanwhile, during the visit one of the members of the fact-finding committee Khushbu Sundar demanded an apology from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her remarks regarding the Hanskhali rape case victim. She further demanded the President’s rule in the state and said Mamata Banerjee should quit her seat, as per ANI.
“A woman CM (Mamata Banerjee) is making condemnable statements about the rape of a 14-year-old & overlooking the matter. She should apologize. We demand President’s rule in the state; she should quit her seat,” Khushbu Sundar told ANI.
The fact-finding committee includes the party’s vice president and MP Rekha Verma, Uttar Pradesh government minister Baby Rani Maurya, Tamil Nadu MLA, and BJP’s National President Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan, Kushbu Sunder, and West Bengal MLA Rupmitra Chaudhury.
