Mamata Banerjee interacts with Ukraine returnee students
On Wednesday Mamata Banerjee met the students who returned from war-torn Ukraine at the Khudiram Anushilan Kendra. Mamata said that engineering students returning from Ukraine will be able to study in West Bengal colleges. Besides, Mamata’s government will write a letter to the Medical Council so that fourth, fifth and sixth-year medical students and interns can continue their studies in the state private medical colleges. Mamata further said that the government will write to the Medical Council for special permission for second and third-year medical students so that these students can continue their studies in private colleges. Mamata also said that if the medical council does not make a decision on the issue, she will go to Delhi herself.
For engineering students, Mamata Banerjee said that the West Bengal government will arrange for their education in the state at a nominal cost.
