Over 2 crore children 12-14 years age-group administered Covid vaccine first dose: Mansukh Mandaviya

Over 2 crore children have been administered the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, informed Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday. He congratulated all children who got vaccinated and said that Another golden feather is added to the world’s largest vaccination drive.

“Another golden feather in the cap of world’s largest & most successful vaccination drive! Over 2,00,00,000 children between 12-14 age group have received 1st dose of #COVID19 vaccine. Congratulations to all my young friends who got vaccinated,” tweeted Mansukh Madaviya.

COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022.

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 185.04 Cr (1,85,04,11,569) as per provisional reports till 7 am Wednesday.

More than 2.37 crore (2,37,72,909) precaution doses have been administered to healthcare workers, frontline workers and those aged above 60 so far, the ministry said.
