PM Modi congratulates farmers, MSMEs, weavers as India achieves target of $400 billion from exports
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took to twitter to laud farmers, MSMEs and exporters, as India achieved its target in the current fiscal of reaching $400 billion from exports.
For the first time, India had set a target of reaching $400 billion from exports, and the target has been achieved 9 days ahead of the schedule.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the landmark as a ‘key milestone’ in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
“India set an ambitious target of $400 Billion of goods exports & achieves this target for the first time ever. I congratulate our farmers, weavers, MSMEs, manufacturers, exporters for this success. This is a key milestone in our Aatmanirbhar Bharat journey,” tweeted PM Modi.
Exports in 2021-22 reached $400 billion, compared to $292 billion in the previous fiscal year of 2020-2021.
