Shoaib Akhtar was asked to leave on-air by the host of PTV
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar walked out of a TV program and resigned from his job as cricket analyst after being told to leave the set by the host of the show at state-owned PTV.
Akhtar stated that, he was mistreated and insulted on air by the host in the post match show following Pakistan’s five wicket win over New Zealand in ongoing T20 the World Cup on Tuesday.
The problem began when Shoaib Akhtar ignored the question asked by the host and started speaking about pacer Haris Rauf and praise the Pakistan Super League Franchise, Lahore Qalanders and its coach after which the host obnoxiously called him over smart and rude, asked him to leave the Live TV Show.
This clip left a large impact on social media gathering the attention of many celebrities of Pakistan and other.
The clip was shared by a large number of people on Social Media, after which Shoaib Akhtar came up with a twitter video, where he stated clearly that the host had insulted him on a Live PTV Show and asked him to leave. Shoaib Akhtar also asked the host to apologies but the host instantly went on a break disrespecting Shoaib Akhtar in front of other present celebrities, after which he left the show and resigned from his job.
Shoaib Akhtar also stated, “It was embarrassing especially when you have legends like Sir Vivian Richards and David Gower sitting on the set with some of my contemporaries and senior and millions watching.”
