Terror in Kerala’s Kondotty- 15-year-old boy drags and attacks woman to farm for resisting rape.

A 15-year-old boy has been detained by the police, for stalking a 23-year-old woman after he stalked her and dragged her to a farm allegedly trying to rape.
According to the report, when the woman resisted him, he attacked her with a stone and than tied her hands using her overcoat. The woman however managed to free herself from his grip and ran straight to a nearby house. The woman in the house immediately raised an alarm, after which, Ummer Farook, Kottukkara ward councillor of Kondotty municipality reached the spot.
The accused was identified from the description provided by the victim and confrimed throught a CCTV. The accused is a Class 10 student and a state-level judo champion. The accused was detained and there he confessed his crime. He will be produced before the juvenile justice board.

The incident took place late on Monday night at Kottukkara junction, when the woman was walking from her house towards the computer centre in Kondotty where she studies.
The boy stalked her and later grabbed her from behind, dragging her to the farm. The girl was hit by a stone when she tried to resist.

“The girl’s face was swollen. The attacker had ripped her dress. We gave the injured woman first aid and shifted her to Kondotty Taluk Hospital and later to Manjeri Medical College Hospital,” as per statement.
Describing the usual routine of the women, the Kottukkara ward councillor said, the woman regularly took a bus from the junction to reach the computer centre, which is at a distance of 1km from her house.

Malappuram district police chief Sujith Das said the accused had marks on his hand, neck and lips, as she resisted the rape bid.

He also said, “The boy had sustained some cut marks on his hand, neck and lip from the woman’s nails as she resisted the rape. He told his parents that he had sustained the marks after he fell down while trying to escape from a chasing dog. However, during detailed questioning, he confessed that he had committed the crime”.
