Suvendu Adhikari alleges police attacked Ram Navami procession in Howrah
On Sunday Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari alleged that police attacked a Ram Navami procession in the Howrah district. He further said that Ram Bhakts are not safe in West Bengal and claimed many got injured due to the thrashing.
“Ram Bhakts aren’t safe in WB. Howrah Police Commissionerate personnel thrashed participants of a Ram Navami procession at Shibpur. Many got injured. Can’t Sanatani devotees practice their religion in this State safely?” tweeted Suvendu Adhikari.
BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar also claimed that processions were attacked by TMC goons, and also shared some pictures on Twitter.
“From Howrah to Bankura, processions of Prabhu Shri Ram on #RamNavami attacked by TMC goons. The life of Hindus isn’t safe in West Bengal,” tweeted Sukanta Majumdar.
