BJP worker’s body found hanging from a tree in Birbhum; family, party alleges murder
Amidst the tense political situation in Bengal, a BJP worker’s body has been found mysteriously hanging from a tree in the Mayureshwar assembly constituency in Birbhum District, on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Purnachandra Laha, a 40-year-old BJP worker.
BJP has alleged that Purnachandra Laha has been killed by goons of Trinamool Congress.
“TMC goons killed Purnachandra Laha, a 40-year-old BJP activist from the Mayureshwar assembly constituency, Birbhum. Blood politics of Mamata Banerjee & her party persists in Bengal. The rule of law doesn’t exist in Bengal, but the law of the ruler!” BJP West Bengal wrote on their official Twitter handle.
BJP IT Cell in charge Amit Malviya said that the family has alleged TMC of killing Purnachandra Laha for his association with the BJP. Amit Malviya further said that Mamata Banerjee presides over a criminal organisation.
“Purna Chandra Laha (44), BJP karyakarta, from Birbhum, left home on the afternoon of 18th Apr, his body found hanging by the lake next morning. Family alleges he was murdered by local TMC men for his association with the BJP. Mamata Banerjee presides over a criminal organisation,” wrote Amit Malviya in his Twitter.
